📍 Southampton | Competitive Salary + Benefits
I'm delighted to be working exclusively with MarineGuard on a retained basis to appoint a Senior Software Developer to join their growing engineering team.
Founded in 1998, MarineGuard has over 25 years of experience designing, building, and integrating advanced security systems for some of the world's most demanding environments, including superyachts, offshore operations, ports, and critical national infrastructure.
As the business continues to grow, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of MarineGuard's flagship PIDS platform, a live system deployed globally in operational environments where performance, reliability, and security are critical.
The Role

Working alongside a highly skilled engineering team, you'll develop scalable software solutions, enhance system performance, contribute to UI and UX improvements, and support the integration of technologies including CCTV, radar, AIS, sonar, and access control.
This is a genuine opportunity to influence architecture and build software that is used in real world, mission critical environments.
You'll Bring
- Strong commercial experience developing software within Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps environments.
- Excellent experience with C# and .NET.
- JavaScript or TypeScript.
- SQL.
- Backend and frontend development.
- Experience working with existing codebases and continuous improvement.
- A passion for developing scalable, production ready software.
Experience with real time systems, hardware integration, sensor technologies, or secure software development would be advantageous but is not essential.
Why Join MarineGuard?
- Work on innovative technology deployed around the world.
- Influence the future direction of a market leading platform.
- Join a business investing heavily in product development and growth.
- Work alongside a collaborative engineering team solving complex technical challenges.
- Be part of an organisation making a real impact across marine, offshore, and critical infrastructure sectors.
Security Clearance
Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK, as this position will require Security Check (SC) Clearance. MarineGuard will support and sponsor the successful candidate through the security clearance process.
If you're looking for an opportunity where you can make a real technical impact whilst working on innovative software in a growing business, I'd love to hear from you.
